Ways and Means Committee

Ways and Means is a branch of the Mishkan Torah Executive Board designed to organize fund raising events and activities to benefit Mishkan Torah. We are an equal opportunity committee, encouraging members of all ages to suggest ideas and help to bring those ideas to fruition. All proceeds go towards the needs of Mishkan Torah. The committee entertains all suggestions, particularly those which we know our members will enjoy. As we celebrate the 50th. year anniversary of our building in 2005, we are planning such things as the ever-popular Goods and Services Auction, a roast of Saul Oresky, who has been the b'nai mitzvot tutor for the majority of our students over many years, and Arts and Crafts Fair, and, hopefully, a concert starring our incredible Cantor Phil Greenfield. Also, during football season, we run a concession stand at Fed-Ex Stadium (Redskins home stadium) selling food and beverages, our Choir Concert which is always a sell-out and so enjoyable, and Coffee Klatch which is held every Sunday morning that the Religious School is in session. We are considering other events which have not yet been finalized. We always welcome new members to our committee. If you are interested, please contact Angie Carmel or Dan Lowery.
