Sisterhood Sedar
On Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 6:00 pm at Mishkan Torah Synagogue 72 people gathered to enjoy a unique Seder. It was put together by the capable women of the Sisterhood. It was a multi-traditional, music-rich, "reconstructed" Seder that provided individuals and families, with ideas, songs, and recipes to enrich their home celebrations.
This was a family affair, for the entire Mishkan Torah family and their friends, starting and ending with song. Each participant received a Haggadah including many songs to take home. Our Haggadah was compiled by Sisterhood members, and included some interesting readings. There was a special Dayenu to honor Israel’s 60th birthday. Other readings honored Righteous People who helped Jews survive the Shoa. There were other unique parts of the Hagaddah, including recipes for 3 kinds of Charoses.
The gourmet kosher food, served family style, represented our rich and varied cultural heritage as Jews. Click here for the recipes.
The Fourth Sisterhood Seder was a successful event due to the hard work of many volunteers! Thanks go to each and every one who helped. ....
